Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) specializes in the holistic and fully integrated treatment of advanced cancer patients with four locations in the United States, one more under construction and others planned. It is a completely patient-centered institution. The patient-centered model does not rely on physicians to refer patients to CTCA. As a result, it is the only system in the country where each patient is at CTCA because they personally choose to receive care at CTCA.

Cancer Treatment Centers of AmericaNo restrictions on the treatment plan, length of stay, or any other issues are commissioned by external forces. The CTCA model includes transparent access to a full range of diagnostic treatment resources may even be the most complex, advanced-stage cancers. CTCA to plan and deliver a full range of diagnostic tests are often within two days for each patient, and the results of these tests is immediately followed by a joint meeting with the patient to determine the optimal treatment plan given the unique needs of patients. Such treatment plans are holistic, which means that not only attacks CTCA eradicate diseases and tumors, but also patients with nutritional counseling, naturopathic medicine, psycho-social counseling, physical therapy and spiritual support of the immune system to optimize and meet the special, whole – person needs of cancer patients. CTCA is proud of its ability to better therapies than any other organization to integrate treatment of cancer.

Patients are attracted to CTCA through its outreach program, direct response television and Internet strategies to relations with the media-oriented activities driven towards calling a toll free number, sending an e-mail questions or committing a secure, on-line chat on the Internet include. Oncology Information Specialists are available via one of these channels 24x7x365, including holidays. This model requires extraordinary compassion and efficiency, along with clinical expertise, including a state-of-the-art network and telecommunications system to support these interactions. Call Center uptime was only 92 percent for the start of working with Cisco. This means that about one in twelve patients with cancer who were identified as necessary our unique form of care were not able to scroll through or were delayed in getting through. That is totally unacceptable.

CTCA core value is the Mother Standard. That means CTCA to each patient and potential patient as we treat our own mother would like to be treated. Of course, CTCA have a huge challenge in delivering this standard, if the input is not the test. Other problems included not given a telephone transmissions, various communications addresses in different locations, the inability to distinguish between CTCA calls from inside or outside, and a backbone system that was barely sufficient for current needs and not ready for growth fuel. CTCA system five years ago was a series of separate entities as opposed to an integrated network. CTCA needed to integrate our systems, make a bet on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and the construction of a communications backbone that would meet the requirements we expect growth.
